2024 – 2026 · MISSION COMPLETE
Ceres VPN set out to prove that anyone could run their own private, self-hosted VPN and network ad-blocker — no black-box provider, no data resale, just infrastructure you own. It did exactly that.
We've now decommissioned the Ceres VPN app so we can focus on what's next at Ceres Labs. We're proud of what it was and grateful to everyone who ran their own boat with it.
The engine lives on
Ceres was built on Wardrobe VPN, our open-source WireGuard CLI. It's still here, still open, and still yours to run.
